I initially built this for my own use and thought that maybe it could help others. Instead of doing things the correct way, I just pushed it to GitHub.
Today during some testing, I used it and quickly learned its limitations as it was. I shifted focus away from the aforementioned testing and gave the tool the treatment it deserved.
Global Scoping
I had left routes that were for a specific project in the source. I use Prismic, so it made sense at the time. This has been changed so that the runner can be used in any JS project, with the option of configuring custom routes.
The Report Itself
Using the runner on the generated report found some a11y issues that needed correcting. If I'm shipping an a11y tool, it needs to follow the same standards that the runner tests for.
Generating New Reports
The updated runner can now create additional reports so that previous results are preserved.
And, Finally, a Proper Home
The release is now live on GitHub ↗ (opens in a new tab)and the package has been published to NPM ↗ (opens in a new tab).
This part is quite monumental for me; I've never published anything on NPM or a release in GH before, despite nearly two decades of professional Experience. This milestone was a long time coming and I'm so happy that this tool exists in a way that is easier for other devs to consume.
The tool is on a feature freeze until the new version of my portfolio is deployed. Stay tuned!
